Job Description
Responsible for preparing, spraying, and finishing a wide range of recycled and refurbished equipment to a high standard. Working as part of the production team to ensure all items meet quality requirements while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming prior to painting.
- Mix paints and coatings to the correct specifications.
- Apply primer, base coats, and top coats using air-assisted and conventional spray equipment.
- Inspect finished products to ensure a high-quality, even finish and rectify any defects.
- Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of spray guns, booths, and associated equipment.
- Follow health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE and safe handling of paints and solvents.
- Work to production schedules while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving items within the workshop when required.
- Maintain a clean and organised spray booth and work area.
- Support other production and refurbishment tasks as required.
Skills and Experience
- Experienced in industrial paint spraying using conventional and air-assisted spray equipment.
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation, paint mixing, and coating application.
- Ability to produce high-quality finishes with excellent attention to detail.
- Familiar with health and safety procedures relating to paint spraying and hazardous materials.
- Able to work independently and as part of a busy production team.
- Reliable, hardworking, and capable of meeting production deadlines.
