CNC Turner - Programmer
Location: Romsey, Hampshire
Salary: £38,000-£40,000 DOE
Hours: 39 hours per week Monday-Thursday: 7:30am-4:30pm
Friday: 7:30am-12:30pm
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
We are recruiting for an established precision engineering business with a long-standing reputation supplying high-quality components to demanding sectors including Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Marine.
The business is looking for an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Role
- Programme, set and operate CNC turning machines.
- Produce precision components from one-off through to batches of 40.
- Work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Set tooling, offsets and work-holding.
- Ensure components are produced accurately and to required tolerances.
- Carry out quality checks throughout the machining process.
- Make programme and offset adjustments where required.
- Work as part of a skilled and experienced precision engineering team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner.
- Strong programming and setting experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience producing precision, tight-tolerance components.
- Good understanding of tooling, cutting conditions and machining processes.
- Fanuc programming experience would be beneficial.
- Aerospace or other high-precision engineering experience would be advantageous.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
