Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Materials Handler to support our manufacturing operations. The Materials Handler will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and components throughout the facility to ensure smooth production flow and timely delivery. This role requires strong organizational skills, physical stamina, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of materials and components.
- Accurately record material movements and update inventory systems.
- Store materials in the correct locations to maintain an organized warehouse.
- Prepare and deliver materials to production teams as required.
- Assist in packing and preparing outgoing shipments.
- Operate material handling equipment safely, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Support stocktaking, cycle counts, and other inventory control activities.
- Report any discrepancies, damaged goods, or supply shortages to the supervisor.
Requirements / Skills:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or materials handling role preferred.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely (forklift certification).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Physical stamina - able to lift, carry, and move heavy items regularly.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse/industrial environment.
Desirable:
