We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business in Redditch. The role involves cutting, machining and pressing aluminium extrusion cases. You’ll be working from work-to lists and cutting lists to produce high-quality products to the required standards. Full training will be provided, so this could be a great opportunity for someone with previous manufacturing experience who is looking to develop their skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating production machinery including upcut extrusion saws, pillar drills and hydraulic presses
- Cutting, machining and pressing aluminium extrusion cases
- Working from work-to lists and cutting lists
- Reading and working from engineering drawings
- Carrying out basic machine maintenance, including changing saw blades and press changeovers
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately and to the required quality standards
- Working independently and as part of a team
Skills & Experience
- Previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not essential
- Experience operating production machinery would be advantageous
- Ability to read engineering drawings would be beneficial
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good timekeeping and communication skills
