HYDROTESTER
Location: Redditch
Shift: Nights
Pay: £12.87 per hour
Contract: Full-time, permanent
We are partnering with a well-established global manufacturing company based in Redditch to recruit a Hydrotester for a full-time, permanent position. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in mechanical testing, hydraulics, or manufacturing environments. Immediate or short-notice availability is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct hydrostatic testing on components and equipment
- Operate and monitor testing equipment safely and precisely
- Ensure all products comply with required quality and pressure standards
- Interpret technical drawings and test specifications accurately
- Record and report test results thoroughly and promptly
- Maintain stringent quality control throughout all processes
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures at all times
Additional Duties
- Support general workshop and production activities
- Handle, load, and move materials safely
- Prepare equipment for testing
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Operate an overhead crane (experience preferred but not essential; full training provided)
Person Specification
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Comfortable working in a hands‑on engineering environment
- Willing to work in all workshop conditions
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Mechanical or testing experience advantageous but not essential
- Experience using an overhead crane desirable but not essential
- Team player with a positive and proactive attitude
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks
