Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit PPT Operator and Container Unloader to join our warehouse team. This dual-role position involves operating Powered Pallet Trucks (PPTs) for moving goods efficiently throughout the warehouse and manually unloading shipping containers, ensuring stock is handled safely and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
PPT Operation:
Operate Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) safely to move goods within the warehouse.
Load and unload pallets onto/from racking and staging areas.
Transport stock to appropriate storage or dispatch areas.
Conduct pre-use equipment checks and report any faults or damage.
Follow all health and safety regulations related to machinery operation.
Container Unloading:
Manually unload goods from shipping containers.
Sort and stack items accurately and safely.
Check goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues.
Use manual handling equipment where required.
Maintain a clean and organized unloading area.
Requirements:
Experience in a warehouse or manual labor role, especially with container unloading.
Physically fit and able to lift heavy items (up to [insert weight, e.g., 25 kg]).
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
