About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a precision engineering environment, working on high-specification components across various industries. This hands‑on role is ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy and takes pride in their inspection skills. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the high standards of our inspection department, using both manual measuring tools and advanced CMM equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform first‑off, in-process, and final inspections on precision machined components.
- Use manual measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
- Operate Aberlink CMM machines for dimensional inspection and reporting.
- Accurately interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Maintain detailed and accurate inspection records.
- Identify and report non‑conformances, supporting continuous improvement efforts.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar quality inspection role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Proficient in the use of manual inspection tools.
- Hands‑on experience with Aberlink CMMs (programming experience desirable).
- Strong understanding of geometric tolerancing and engineering drawings.
- Good communication skills and a methodical approach to problem‑solving.
- High attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward quality standards.
