The Role:
- Carry out MIG welding and fabrication of steel components within a workshop environment
- Attend customer sites to complete installation, site fitting, and mechanical repair work
- Read and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Operate fabrication machinery and workshop equipment safely and effectively
- Ensure work is completed to high quality standards and agreed deadlines
- Deliver a professional service while representing the business on customer sites
- Work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Welder Fabricator / Site Fitter or similar role (essential)
- Strong MIG welding and fabrication experience
- Previous site fitting, installation, or mechanical engineering experience preferred
- Confident using fabrication machinery and workshop equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence and own transport essential
