About the Role
Workforce are currently working with a well-established and growing engineering and manufacturing business in Nottingham to recruit 2 experienced Press Brake Setters to join their night-shift production team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Press Brake Setter who is confident setting and operating CNC press brake machinery and enjoys working within a busy fabrication environment.
You will be responsible for setting machines, selecting the correct tooling and producing high-quality folded components to engineering drawings and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC press brake machinery safely and efficiently.
- Read and accurately interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Select the correct tooling and machine settings for each job.
- Set up machines and make adjustments to achieve the required bends and tolerances.
- Produce high-quality folded and bent components across a range of materials and thicknesses.
- Carry out first-off inspections and regular quality checks throughout production.
- Use measuring equipment including verniers, rulers and angle gauges.
- Identify and resolve quality issues where possible and report any machine or production problems.
- Work to production schedules and maintain agreed output levels.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
- Work closely with the wider production and fabrication team when required.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Press Brake Setter / Operator.
- Proven experience setting and operating CNC press brakes.
- Ability to work with a range of materials and material thicknesses.
- Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Experience selecting tooling and adjusting machine settings.
- Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances.
- Good understanding of sheet metal and fabrication processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently.
- Good team-working skills and a positive attitude.
- Experience using Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf or similar press brake machinery.
- Counterbalance forklift licence.
- Overhead crane or lifting equipment experience.
