Lead a High-Performing Laser Production Team

The Role
As the Laser Production Supervisor, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the laser department, ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with Production, Planning, Quality and Operations, you'll play a key role in maximising productivity, reducing downtime and continuously improving performance across the department.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of laser operators and production staff
- Manage the daily operation of the laser production department
- Ensure production schedules are achieved safely, efficiently and on time
- Allocate workloads and monitor departmental productivity
- Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines when required
- Carry out first-off inspections and ensure products meet quality standards
- Identify and resolve production issues to minimise downtime
- Work closely with Production Planning, Programming, Quality and Operations
- Conduct return-to-work meetings, probation reviews and day-to-day people management
- Promote excellent housekeeping and Health & Safety standards
- Liaise with Maintenance to coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency
