Our client is a customer focused, quality led Sub-Contract Engineering company specialising in Multi-Axis and CNC machining serving a variety of Industries from Aerospace, Oil and gas, Medical & Research.
Thriving since the 1980's our client at present has a workforce of 40 competently skilled engineers. Due to constant expansion they are looking for a CNC Turner Programmer.
Responsibilities
- Program, set and operate 2 axis Mori Seiki machines with Fanuc controls.
- Demonstrate confidence in machining within ISO9001 standards.
- Write new CNC programs by hand at the machine.
- Edit pre-written programs, perform full machine setup including material, tooling, speeds, feeds.
- Carry out in-process inspection using measuring equipment.
- Produce one-off, as well as low to medium volume precision parts in a range of hard and soft metals.
- Possess excellent working knowledge of 2 axis CNC machines, cutting speeds and feeds, geometric tolerances.
