We are working with a well-established precision fabrication and engineering specialist supplying complex, high-quality components into defence, nuclear, rail, renewable energy and specialist manufacturing sectors. Operating from a modern manufacturing facility with advanced cutting, forming and welding capabilities, the business produces both prototype and production work to extremely high standards. Due to continued growth and increased workload, they are looking to add a skilled Fabricator Welder to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent variety, long-term stability and genuine overtime potential.
The Role
- Small batch fabrication — not repetitive jig work
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and fabrication specs
- MIG & TIG welding across a range of materials
- Working to tight tolerances and quality standards
- Measuring and checking using calipers, micrometers and inspection tools
- Safe use of lifting equipment including cranes during fabrication and assembly
- Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
What We’re Looking For
- Proven fabrication / welding experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong MIG and TIG welding ability
- Confident reading technical drawings
- Experience using hand tools, power tools and inspection equipment
- Good mechanical aptitude and measurement skills
- Forklift or material handling experience beneficial (training available)
