General Operative
Location: NN14, Kettering
Pay: £12.71 - £15.77 per hour
Shifts: Monday to Friday
Shift Times: 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00
The Role
We are currently recruiting for General Operatives to join a busy manufacturing environment in the Kettering area. This is a varied role where you will not be assigned to one specific area, giving you the opportunity to work across different departments and learn a range of manufacturing skills.
Duties will vary depending on business requirements and may include:
Key Duties
- Trimming and finishing manufactured products to a high standard
- Carrying out fabrication and general production tasks
- Assembly of components and finished products
- Sewing and working with leather and other materials
- Operating various machinery following training and instructions
- Completing kitting and preparing components for production
- Inspecting leather and materials for quality and defects
- Carrying out spraying and finishing processes
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area
- Following health & safety and quality procedures at all times
Requirements
- Previous manufacturing or production experience is desirable but not essential
- Comfortable carrying out repetitive, hands-on work
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Able to work across different areas and duties as required
- Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn new skills
- Comfortable working on your feet throughout the shift
