The business specialises in the manufacture of high-accuracy components for a range of demanding industries and continues to invest heavily in modern CNC technology to support ongoing growth. We are seeking an experienced Citizen Sliding Head Machinist to join their skilled machining team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience setting, operating, and ideally programming Citizen sliding head lathes, producing precision components to tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities- Set, operate, and optimise Citizen sliding head CNC lathes
- Manufacture precision components from engineering drawings to exact specifications
- Adjust tooling, offsets, and programs to maintain consistent quality
- Perform first-off inspections and verify dimensional accuracy
- Conduct in-process checks and maintain strict machining tolerances
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement effective solutions
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet targets and standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Proven experience working with Citizen sliding head machines
- Strong understanding of CNC turning and sliding head principles
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
