Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimise day-to-day operational performance. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective operations across production, warehousing, and logistics functions, while driving continuous improvement and supporting business objectives.
This role is a very hands-on, proactive position that operates within a fast-paced manufacturing operational environment.
Day to day duties and responsibilities:
- Lead and manage operational activities to ensure service, quality, cost, and delivery targets are achieved.
- Oversee production, warehousing, and logistics functions, ensuring effective coordination and performance.
- Develop and implement operational plans aligned with business strategy and customer demand.
- Monitor operational KPIs, analysing performance and implementing corrective actions where required.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and environmental standards across all operations.
- Lead, motivate, and develop operational teams, promoting a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Manage resource planning, capacity, and workflow to meet operational requirements.
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to support business growth and improvement initiatives.
