WF Tech are recruiting on behalf of Parker Hannifin, a global leader in precision engineering and advanced manufacturing, who are looking to appoint an experienced CNC Sliding Head Team Leader / Trainer to support the continued development of their machining team at their Crewkerne facility. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Citizen Sliding Head specialist who enjoys sharing knowledge, developing machinists and driving manufacturing excellence.
The Role
- Leading and supporting the Sliding Head machining team
- Training Setter/Operators and developing future programmers
- Providing technical guidance on Citizen Sliding Head machines
- Improving machining methods, cycle times and best practice
- Supporting process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
- Troubleshooting machining and production issues
- Maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety
- Working closely with Manufacturing Engineers and Production Management
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years' experience working with Citizen Sliding Head CNC lathes
- Strong background in setting, operating and programming Sliding Head machines
- Previous experience mentoring, supervising or training machinists
- Excellent knowledge of precision machining techniques
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Passion for developing others and improving manufacturing performance
