CNC Miller Programmer
Location: Willenhall
Hours: 7:30am – 4:30pm Monday to Thursday, 7:30am – 12:30pm Friday
Pay rate: £17 to £21 per hour – negotiable dependent upon experience
Overtime available @ time and a third
Must have the full rights to work within the UK (No sponsorship offered)
The client is a family run CAD / CAM tooling solutions company, with a rich heritage spanning over nearly 100 years! The candidate will be joining a long serving team who are passionate about providing a first-class service to their customers.
As a 5-axis CNC Machinist you would ideally possess experience in Mazatrol and / or Heidenhain controls (other machine models and operating systems experience considered)
You will be experienced in programming offline in CAD / CAM – Powermill desirable though other CAD / CAM systems considered.
5-axis CNC Machinist duties include :
- Program, set and machine a wide variety of tooling in a range of different materials such as a tooling board Spider-Man head, aluminium moulds & tools, cast-iron patterns and coreboxes
- Be responsible for own Autodesk Powermill work station
- Operate Vericut software to verify toolpaths prior to running
- Conducting quality assurance and safety checks on all tooling
- Develop CNC programs for machining parts based on engineering drawings and specification
- Interpreting project blueprints
Skills and attributes required by successful candidate for the role of 5-axis CNC Machinist :
- Previous CNC programming experience
- Expereince CAD / CAM software – Powermill or Hypermill
- Working on CNC Milling machines
