Are you highly organised, commercially minded and passionate about data, products and supplier relationships? We are recruiting for a Buying Executive to join a growing and fast‑paced business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration and analytical skills who enjoys working across multiple departments, building supplier relationships and supporting commercial growth.

Working closely with the wider trading team, you will play a key role in product sourcing, supplier management, reporting, promotions and commercial administration, helping to ensure the business delivers outstanding service and commercial performance.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing administrative and commercial support to the Buying and Trading team
  • Managing supplier onboarding and new product administration
  • Coordinating product samples and supporting category reviews
  • Investigating and resolving invoice queries
  • Supporting product sourcing and product delisting activities
  • Liaising with suppliers to obtain pricing, imagery, marketing materials and technical information
  • Conducting competitor and market analysis to identify trends and opportunities
  • Assisting with promotional planning, scheduling and tracking
  • Managing supplier rebates and commercial agreements
  • Producing reports, analysing data and tracking commercial performance
  • Recording supplier meeting actions and monitoring progress
  • Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across buying and trading processes

About You

  • Previous administration experience within a commercial, buying, procurement or office‑based environment
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience using reporting tools such as Power BI or similar would be advantageous
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities
  • Confident managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Analytical mindset with good problem‑solving skills
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong numeracy skills and confidence working with data
  • Experience within FMCG, wholesale, distribution, retail or foodservice would be beneficial but is not essential
