WF Tech is recruiting on behalf of a precision engineering manufacturer based in South Woodham Ferrers.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a busy machining team on a permanent late shift.
Responsibilities
- Setting and operating CNC milling machines.
- Loading and running CNC machining centres.
- Working on DMG, YCM and Haas CNC milling machines.
- Producing precision engineered components to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Carrying out in-process inspection using handheld measuring equipment.
- Liaising with the day shift team to understand production priorities and ensure an effective shift handover.
- Maintaining high standards of quality, housekeeping and health & safety.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a CNC Miller Setter/Operator or CNC Machinist.
- Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good knowledge of precision machining techniques and quality standards.
- Experience using handheld inspection equipment such as micrometers, verniers and gauges.
- Proactive attitude with good communication and team-working skills.
- Experience with DMG, YCM or Haas machining centres is beneficial, though candidates with experience on other CNC milling machines are encouraged to apply.
