About the Business

We are working with a highly respected, long-established manufacturing and shopfitting company delivering bespoke joinery and architectural metalwork for premium, high-profile clients. Known for craftsmanship, quality, and stability, this business offers a genuinely hands-on environment where your work makes a visible impact.

The Role

This is not a desk-only CAD role. You’ll be involved from first drawing to finished product, working closely with the Works Manager and shop floor to turn architectural concepts into build-ready solutions.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Producing high-quality 2D & 3D drawings (AutoCAD / Inventor)
  • Interpreting architectural drawings and 3D visuals
  • Designing with manufacture at the forefront
  • Issuing approved drawings directly to production
  • Supporting multiple bespoke projects end-to-end

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a CAD / setting out role
  • Experience designing for manufacture
  • Knowledge of joinery and/or metalwork
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Ability to translate architectural drawings into production-ready documents

Desirable:

  • AutoCAD / Inventor experience
  • Joinery background
  • Proactive, can-do attitude
  • Comfortable working to deadlines

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Work on high-end, bespoke projects — no mass production
  • Be involved from concept to completion
  • Join a stable, long-standing business with real job security
  • Competitive salary with excellent benefits

If you’re a CAD Engineer or Draughtsperson who wants more ownership, better projects, and long-term stability — this is one worth exploring.
