About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Fabricator Welder with a minimum of 5 years’ industry experience to join our production team. This role suits someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work, values safety, and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team. You will be responsible for taking projects from technical drawings through to finished assemblies, working with a wide range of materials and thicknesses in a modern, well-equipped facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret, and work accurately from technical drawings
  • Fabricate using mild steel and stainless steel
  • Confidently work with materials from 2mm sheet metal up to 30mm plate, with the majority of components laser-cut in-house
  • Set up and operate press brakes, drills, saws, and various pneumatic and hand tools
  • Welding & Finishing
  • MIG Welding: Produce welds to a high structural and visual standard
  • TIG Welding: Not essential but a strong advantage
  • Quality Control: Ensure all fabrications and welds meet tight tolerances and project specifications before progressing
  • Teamwork & Working Environment
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and colleagues to meet production deadlines
  • Follow all Health & Safety requirements, including correct use of PPE and LEV/extraction systems
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workspace, taking pride in the working environment

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a metal fabrication environment
  • Counterbalance forklift experience essential (valid licence advantageous)
  • Strong understanding of correct handling and preparation of different metals to prevent cross-contamination, particularly between carbon and stainless steel
