About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Crosshead Extrusion Setter to join our manufacturing team in West Bromwich, supporting the production of high-quality coated wires, hoses, and pipes. This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience in co-extrusion processes and working with materials such as PVC, Polyurethane, Megalon, and Nylon. You will be responsible for setting up and operating production lines, ensuring products meet quality standards, and driving continuous improvements within your area.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Crosshead Extrusion machines efficiently and safely.
- Maintain tools and equipment, including cleaning and routine checks.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing materials to ensure high-quality standards.
- Keep accurate production and quality records up to date.
- Maintain 5S standards in your work area.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety procedures.
- Pack and prepare production outputs as required.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by your Team Leader.

- Proven experience as a Setter/Operator in extrusion manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with co-extrusion, coating wires, or producing hoses/pipes.
- Skilled in working with materials such as PVC, Polyurethane, Megalon, and Nylon.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Motivation to meet production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to company values.
- Blown film extrusion experience is not suitable for this role.
