WF Tech is recruiting on behalf of a precision engineering company supplying high-quality machined components into the aerospace sector.

Join a modern machining facility producing precision components in small to medium batch quantities.

Role

Working on Doosan CNC lathes with Fanuc controls, you will be responsible for setting, programming and operating machines to manufacture complex precision components to exacting quality standards.

You will be machining a variety of materials including stainless steel, aluminium, brass, titanium, acetal, and glass‑filled nylon.

The role will involve prototype and repeat batch work, requiring a high level of attention to detail and the ability to consistently achieve tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting, programming and operating Doosan CNC lathes.
  • Producing precision machined components from engineering drawings.
  • Carrying out first‑off inspection and in‑process quality checks.
  • Manufacturing prototype and small to medium batch components.
  • Editing and optimising programs where required.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and housekeeping.
  • Working closely with the production team to ensure efficient manufacturing.
  • Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience setting and programming CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
  • Experience working on Doosan machines is advantageous.
  • Able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
  • Comfortable machining a range of materials, including exotic alloys.

  • Engineering apprenticeship preferred but not essential for candidates with proven industry experience.
