As the UK distributor for Metso mobile crushing and screening equipment, we provide industry-leading machinery backed by expert service and technical support.
We are looking for a Trainee Mobile Service Engineer to join our growing team in the Midlands. This role is ideal for someone who has recently completed an engineering apprenticeship, is currently part-way through an apprenticeship, or has gained practical experience working with machinery and is looking to develop a long-term career as a field service engineer.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting experienced engineers with servicing, maintenance and repairs
- Assisting with fault diagnosis on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
- Learning how to carry out equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
- Supporting commissioning and setup of new equipment
- Attending manufacturer and in-house training courses
- Developing technical knowledge of Metso crushing and screening equipment
- Completing service reports and documentation
- Building strong relationships with customers and colleagues
What We're Looking For
- Recently completed or currently undertaking a relevant engineering apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience
- Background or interest in construction plant, agricultural machinery, HGV/LGV, automotive, quarrying or heavy equipment industries
- Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely
- Good communication skills
- Full UK driving licence or working towards obtaining one
