WF Tech are recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company supplying high-quality components to demanding industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Setter/Operator to join their machining team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist who enjoys setting and operating modern CNC machining centres within a clean, organised and quality-driven environment.
The Role
- Primarily responsible for setting and operating 3 Axis CNC machining centres, producing precision components to tight tolerances.
- Working on Haas CNC machining centres, Doosan CNC machining centres, and Fanuc control systems.
- Producing low to medium batch precision components.
Responsibilities
- Setting and operating 3 Axis CNC milling machines.
- Loading tooling using the Zoller presetting system.
- Producing high precision components to engineering drawings.
- Performing in-process inspection using measuring equipment.
- Deburring and finishing components where required.
- Changing tooling and offsets.
- Monitoring tool wear and replacing damaged tooling.
- Maintaining high standards of quality and housekeeping.
- Identifying opportunities to improve machining processes.
- Working in accordance with company quality and health & safety procedures.
We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a CNC Setter/Operator within a precision engineering environment.
- Strong experience setting 3 Axis CNC machining centres.
- Experience with Haas and/or Doosan machines.
- Good working knowledge of Fanuc controls.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Confident using measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges.
- A proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail.
- Someone who takes pride in producing quality work.
