Location: Redditch

Salary: £15 - £16 per hour + Shift allowance (£2.20 - £6.10hr extra)

Weekday nights: Monday - Thursday (20:00 - 06:00) (£84 week shift allowance)

Weekend night: Friday – Sunday (17:30 - 06:00) (£220 week shift allowance)

Overview

An established precision engineering manufacturer is seeking a CNC Machinist to join their machining team, across various shifts. The successful candidate will report to the Machine Shop Team Leader and be responsible for manufacturing tooling to precise engineering drawings within tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set, and operate CNC Mills or Lathes Fanuc, Siemens, Mazak
  • Polish components to a 320-grain finish.
  • Conduct manual compensation and bench work.
  • Service, repair, and maintain tools (PPM).
  • Respond to breakdowns and production issues efficiently.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Skilled in setting and operating CNC machinery.
  • Background in hot metal or heavy manufacturing (preferred).
  • Confident communicator and team player.
  • Competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Proficient with precision measuring equipment (micrometres, height gauges, imperial and metric).
  • Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and initiative.
