About the Role
We are looking for a Production Area Owner to join our Worcester team, responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of the VMI / Dough Prep area. You will ensure safe working practices, high-quality production, strong performance, and continuous improvement while supporting and developing the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety & Standards
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
- Ensure equipment is cared for and operated safely.
- Identify and resolve safety risks, escalating issues when required.
- Maintain 5S standards and support continuous improvement activities.
- Quality & Food Safety
- Ensure products meet required quality standards and specifications.
- Follow HACCP, food safety, and operational procedures.
- Monitor processes and take action when issues occur.
- Support investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Production Performance
- Ensure production targets, efficiency, and output requirements are achieved.
- Follow standard operating procedures and control processes.
- Monitor performance and address issues affecting delivery.
- Waste Reduction & Improvement
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve processes.
- Support problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
- Lead or participate in improvement initiatives such as Kaizen activities.
- Team Communication & Support
- Work closely with Shift Leaders, Operators, Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering teams.
- Provide clear communication during shift handovers.
- Support and coach team members to achieve agreed standards.

Skills & Experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Good understanding of production processes and workplace safety.
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain high standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions and production standards.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement would be an advantage.
