Location: Redditch
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (Overtime available)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Power Press Setter/Operator to join a reputable manufacturing company based in Redditch. This hands-on role involves setting up and operating a variety of power press machines, ensuring consistent quality output while adhering to health & safety standards. The position offers long-term stability and the opportunity to work with modern, industry-leading equipment.
Key Responsibilities

Set, adjust, and operate power presses ranging from 6 to 160 tonnes, including Bruderer, C-Frame, Chin Fong, Worcester, and Sweeny models.

Work with tooling for forming, piercing, blanking, roll forming, cropping, and progression/secondary operations.

Handle material thicknesses from 0.2mm to 4mm.

Select appropriate raw materials and follow detailed work orders accurately.

Conduct routine quality checks using calipers, micrometers, gauges, shadowgraphs, and OGP equipment.

Accurately document production data, including defects, downtime, and tool performance.

Maintain tooling and press condition following production runs.

Troubleshoot and resolve tooling or machinery issues independently or with support.

Perform minor maintenance tasks and ensure press guards are signed off correctly.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area to high standards.

Support the Power Press Team Leader in training activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Valid ROSPA Power Press Setter Certificate or equivalent qualification.

Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail.

Comfortable operating mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic presses, including manual and coil feeders.

Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO9001, IATF16949, AS9001, and ISO14001.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Positive attitude, reliable timekeeping, and flexibility to work overtime when required.
