Workforce Group are currently working with a well-established and growing precision engineering and fabrication business in Nottingham to recruit an experienced TIG Welder for their night-shift team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled TIG Welder looking to secure a permanent position with a stable and expanding business, working on high-quality precision components across a variety of engineering projects.
The Role
As an Experienced TIG Welder, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fabricated components to engineering drawings and customer specifications. You will work with a range of materials and be expected to consistently deliver high-quality, accurate and clean welds while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- TIG welding components to a consistently high standard
- Welding stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium
- Working from detailed engineering drawings
- Producing both cosmetic and structural welds
- Ensuring all work meets customer and quality specifications
- Inspecting your own work and maintaining high standards
- Working accurately and efficiently to production deadlines
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Working independently while contributing positively to the wider production team
What We're Looking For
We are looking for an experienced TIG Welder who can hit the ground running. You will ideally have:
- Proven TIG welding experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong experience welding aluminium – highly desirable
- Confident TIG welding skills across stainless steel and mild steel
- The ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Experience producing high-quality cosmetic welds
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
- The ability to inspect and quality-check your own work
- A reliable, hardworking and professional attitude
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
This is not a trainee position. You must be an experienced TIG Welder and able to work to a high standard with minimal training from day one.
