Salary: £15.00+ per hour DOE + Shift Allowance (£173.34 per month)

Shifts: Rotating 3 Shift Pattern

  • 6:00am – 2:00pm
  • 2:00pm – 10:00pm
  • 10:00pm – 6:00am

Workforce are currently working with a leading manufacturing business in Nottingham who are looking to recruit two experienced MIG Fabricator Welders to join their growing production team. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled fabricator welders seeking long-term, stable employment within a modern manufacturing environment. The successful candidates will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding components to exact specifications while maintaining exceptional quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out MIG welding and fabrication of mild steel, stainless steel, and other materials as required.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and production documentation.
  • Mark out, cut, prepare, and assemble materials prior to welding.
  • Fabricate and weld components to required specifications and tolerances.
  • Use fabrication equipment including grinders, saws, drills, and hand tools.
  • Conduct visual inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Use measuring equipment accurately to ensure precision and compliance.
  • Report defects, material shortages, and production issues promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the fabrication department.
  • Work efficiently to meet production targets without compromising quality.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as a MIG Fabricator Welder.
  • Ability to fabricate from engineering drawings without supervision.
  • Strong MIG welding skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Experience using fabrication machinery and hand tools.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • TIG welding experience.
  • Welding/Fabrication qualification or completed apprenticeship.
  • Experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift licence or experience.
  • Welding certifications or coded welding experience.
