McHale Plant Sales is a leading distributor of equipment for the construction, quarrying, aggregates and recycling industries across the UK and Ireland. As the UK distributor for Metso mobile crushing and screening equipment, we provide industry-leading machinery backed by expert service and technical support.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Mobile Service Engineer to join our expanding service team covering the Midlands region. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys fault-finding, problem-solving and working independently at customer sites. Whether your background is in construction plant, agricultural machinery, HGV/LGV, quarrying, recycling or a similar mechanical field, we would love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on Metso crushing and screening equipment
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
  • Conducting inspections and preventative maintenance activities
  • Completing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new equipment
  • Commissioning and setting up equipment at customer sites
  • Providing excellent customer service and technical support
  • Accurately completing service reports and related documentation
  • Working safely and professionally at all times

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a mechanical engineering role
  • Background in plant, agricultural machinery, HGV/LGV, quarrying, recycling, powered access, forklift trucks or similar equipment
  • Good mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Basic hydraulic and electrical knowledge
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
