About the Company:
WF Tech are recruiting on behalf of a growing and well-established subcontract precision engineering company based in Camberley. Our client produces high-quality machined components for a range of demanding industries and has built a strong reputation for precision, reliability and customer service. Due to continued growth and increased workload, they are looking to strengthen their turning section with an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer.
The Role:
This is a hands-on position within a busy subcontract environment. You will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC lathes running Fanuc controls, producing small-to-medium batch components to tight tolerances. Candidates must have strong experience in either Fixed Head OR Sliding Head turning. Experience in both disciplines would be highly advantageous but is not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes using Fanuc controls
- Working on either Fixed Head or Sliding Head machines (based on your expertise)
- Editing and optimising programs at the machine
- Selecting tooling, offsets and cutting strategies
- Producing first-off components and carrying out in-process inspection
