We are currently recruiting for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join a busy and fast-paced Time Critical team based in Redditch. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in transport or freight forwarding who thrives under pressure and enjoys delivering high levels of customer service within a demanding logistics environment.
You will be responsible for managing time-critical shipments across the UK and Europe, ensuring goods are moved efficiently and cost-effectively while maintaining excellent communication with customers, suppliers and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities- Managing customer enquiries and orders via phone and email
- Booking, planning and tracking shipments
- Providing quotations for UK and European transport movements
- Handling urgent and line stoppage situations
- Offering airfreight, hand-carry and road freight solutions
- Liaising with suppliers and sourcing transport solutions
- Keeping customers updated throughout the shipment process
- Reviewing routes and suppliers to maximise profitability
- Managing job files, PODs and system updates accurately
- Working closely with Operations, Warehouse and Accounts teams
- Monitoring KPIs and maintaining system integrity
- Ensuring all administration and paperwork is completed accurately and on time
- Previous experience within transport, logistics or freight forwarding
- European planning experience is essential
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Good IT skills including MS Office and internal systems
- A proactive, 'can-do' attitude with strong problem-solving ability
- CPC qualification advantageous but not essential
- Second language beneficial but not essential
