CNC Miller – Setter / Programmer
Location: Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire
Days Shift: Monday to Thursday 6:00am – 4:30pm

WF Tech is recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller Setter / Programmer on behalf of a well-established, family-run precision engineering company based in Melton Mowbray. The Role
As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for setting, operating and programming CNC milling machines, producing high-precision components from a range of materials. The role will involve:
- Setting and operating Doosan, HAAS and DMG CNC milling machines
- Programming and editing CNC programmes at the machine
- Working from engineering drawings and 3D models
- Using FeatureCAM CAD/CAM software to support programming and machining processes
- Selecting tooling, setting work offsets and proving out new jobs
- Producing low-volume, high-quality precision components
- Carrying out in-process inspection and maintaining tight tolerances
- Supporting continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment
The Candidate
The ideal CNC Miller will have:
- Strong experience setting and operating CNC milling machines
- Experience with Doosan, HAAS or DMG machining centres would be highly advantageous
- Knowledge of Fanuc or similar CNC controls
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
- Experience working within a precision engineering or subcontract manufacturing environment
- Understanding of tooling, speeds, feeds and machining strategies
- Experience using CAD/CAM systems – FeatureCAM experience would be a major advantage

Working Hours & Overtime
The standard working week is: Monday – Thursday: 6:00am – 4:30pm. There are also excellent overtime opportunities available.
