Pay: £15 - £19ph DOE

Hours: Mon-Thurs 07:30-16:00 / Fri 07:30-15:00

Our client is a customer focused, quality led Sub-Contract Engineering company specialising in Multi–Axis and CNC machining serving a variety of Industries from Aerospace, Oil and gas, Medical & Research. Thriving since the 1980’s our client at present has a workforce of 40 competently skilled engineers. Due to constant expansion they are looking for a CNC Turner Programmer.

The role:

  • Program, set and operate 2 axis Mori Seiki machines with Fanuc controls
  • Demonstrate confidence in machining within ISO9001 standards
  • Ability to write new CNC programs long hand at the machine
  • Editing pre written programs, the full machine setup including material, tooling, speeds, feeds
  • Carry out in-process inspection using measuring equipment
  • Producing one off, as well as low to medium volume precision parts in a range of hard and soft metals
  • Excellent working knowledge of 2 axis CNC machines, cutting speeds and feeds, geometric tolerances
