Salary: £16.50 per hour
Hours:
Monday–Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
Friday: 6:00am – 1:00pm
Availability: Immediate start
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder Supervisor to join our team. This hands-on supervisory role combines technical expertise with leadership skills to ensure high standards of production and team performance.
You will oversee fabrication processes, ensure compliance with EN1090 standards, and support the mid-management team in driving efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, supervise, and support fabricators/welders on the shop floor
Allocate and issue work orders to employees
Oversee quality by checking first-off fabrications and reporting failures
Ensure paperwork and records are completed accurately
Drive performance to meet production targets
Ensure all work meets EN1090 compliance standards
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong background working with aluminium
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Qualified in TIG & MIG welding (certification available via external testing)
Proven experience managing/supervising staff and workloads
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience with sheet metal work
Forklift licence
Previous on-site work experience
