About the Company
Our client is a well-established precision engineering business based in Kings Langley, specialising in high-quality machined components for aerospace, automotive, and general engineering. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join their dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out first-off, in-process, and final inspections on precision machined parts.
- Operate CMM machines using PC-DMIS software.
- Complete FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports) in line with AS9102 and customer requirements.
- Use a wide range of inspection equipment including micrometers, verniers, height gauges, and shadowgraphs.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T tolerances.
- Accurately record and maintain inspection data, NCRs, and related quality documentation.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Support continuous improvement and compliance with ISO9001 / AS9100 standards.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Quality Inspector within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in CMM inspection and PC-DMIS (essential).
- Strong knowledge of FAIRs and associated documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection.
- Confident interpreting detailed engineering drawings and geometric tolerances.
- Team-oriented with good communication and problem-solving skills.
