Redditch Head Office
Full Time – 37.5 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm)
Who We Are: At McHale Komatsu, we’re proud to be one of the UK’s leading construction equipment distributors, representing one of the world’s most recognised and innovative brands. But beyond the machines, we’re a people-focused business that genuinely values professionalism, teamwork, and creating a positive experience for both our customers and employees. From the moment someone walks through our doors, we want them to feel welcomed, looked after, and impressed by the environment around them.
The Opportunity: This is far more than a traditional reception role. As our Customer Experience Assistant, you’ll play a key part in creating the atmosphere and first impression of the business. You’ll be the friendly face greeting visitors, the calm organiser behind busy meeting schedules, and the person helping keep the office running smoothly day-to-day. We’re looking for someone who is naturally personable, switched on, proactive, and enjoys being around people. Someone who takes pride in presentation, notices the little details, and genuinely enjoys creating a welcoming and professional environment. No two days will look exactly the same, so this role would suit someone who enjoys variety, likes staying busy, and is happy getting involved across different areas of the business.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Creating a Great First Impression
- Welcoming visitors and customers in a warm and professional manner
- Managing incoming calls and directing enquiries appropriately
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and professional reception environment
- Helping create a positive and welcoming atmosphere throughout the office
- Preparing meeting rooms and organising refreshments for meetings and visitors
- Coordinating meeting room bookings and calendar invites
- Arranging lunches and catering where required
- Managing refreshment and office stock levels
- Processing incoming and outgoing post
- Assisting with general office administration and company records
- Providing day-to-day administrative and operational support across different areas of the business
- Managing visitor and employee access badges
- Supporting general workplace organisation and site coordination activities
What We’re Looking For: We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a naturally friendly, confident, and approachable personality
- Communicates professionally with people at all levels
- Is highly organised and enjoys keeping things running efficiently
- Takes pride in presentation and attention to detail
- Is proactive and enjoys taking initiative
- Thrives in a busy, professional office environment
- Enjoys working as part of a team and supporting others
- Is confident using Microsoft Office and general systems
- Previous experience within reception, hospitality, customer service, or administration would be beneficial – however attitude, professionalism, and personality are just as important to us.
A Little More About the Role: This role is based at our Redditch Head Office, working standard office hours of 8:30am–5:00pm, Monday to Friday. Some flexibility may occasionally be required to support customer meetings, events, or wider business activities outside of normal working hours. If you’re someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in creating a professional environment, and wants to be part of a friendly and supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.
