Hours: 36 hours per week basic, 1.5x for the next 11 hours, double time thereafter

Our client, a precision engineering company specialising in high-spec components for aerospace and industrial applications, is looking for an experienced CNC Miller / Programmer with strong Heidenhain knowledge. This hands-on role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines to produce components to exacting tolerances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming and operating CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls.
- Machine setup including tooling, workholding, and offsets.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Conducting first-off inspections and quality checks.
- Troubleshooting machining issues and optimising programs for efficiency.
- Maintaining high standards of safety, machine cleanliness, and operation.
Technical Requirements:
- Proven experience with Heidenhain CNC milling machines.
- Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, and machining strategies.
- Ability to perform accurate measurements using precision tools.
- Knowledge of tolerance requirements, surface finishes, and machining best practices.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
