Shift Pattern and Compensation:
- Double day shift (alternating early and late weekly), 37‑hour workweek.
Shift Schedules:
- Early Shift: Mon - Thu: 06:00 – 14:15; Fri: 06:00 – 12:00
- Late Shift: Mon - Thu: 14:15 – 22:30; Fri: 12:00 – 18:00
Salary:
- Basic Salary: £33,545 per annum
- Shift Allowance (33%): £11,069.85
- Total Salary: £44,614.85 per annum (including shift allowance)

What You'll Do:
- Set, program, and operate CNC milling or turning machines to produce high‑precision components.
- Work in a low‑volume production environment, manufacturing parts based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Manufacture or modify tooling, including jigs, fixtures, and moulds.
- Use precision measuring equipment (micrometres, Vernier callipers) to ensure part accuracy.
- Collaborate with production teams to meet production targets and timelines.
- Log work times and maintain compliance using the Epicor ERP system.
- Actively participate in lean initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of the workshop.
- Ensure the highest levels of safety by following all health and safety procedures.
What We're Looking for:
Essential:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a CNC Machine Operator within engineering.
- Strong understanding of ISO engineering drawings and ability to machine to tight tolerances.
- Competent with measuring tools such as micrometres and Vernier callipers.
- Basic IT skills, with experience using ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
- Knowledge and practical application of 5S principles.
Desirable:
- Time‑served craft apprenticeship.
- Experience with programming, setting, and operating CNC Vertical Mills (Winmax 5, Fanuc controls) or CNC Lathes (Mazatrol, Siemens control).
- A proactive approach to problem‑solving and process improvement.
