CNC Miller Setter / Operator – Late Shift
Location: South Woodham Ferrers, Essex (CM3)
Shift: Monday to Friday | 3:00pm – 11:00pm

WF Tech are recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in South Woodham Ferrers. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Miller Setter/Operator to join a busy machining team working a permanent late shift. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing high-quality precision components while ensuring a smooth transition from the day shift through effective communication and handover.
The Role
- Setting and operating CNC milling machines.
- Loading and running CNC machining centres.
- Working on DMG, YCM and Haas CNC milling machines.
- Producing precision engineered components to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Carrying out in-process inspection using handheld measuring equipment.
- Liaising with the day shift team to understand production priorities and ensure an effective shift handover.
- Maintaining high standards of quality, housekeeping and health & safety.
To be considered, you should have:
- Previous experience as a CNC Miller Setter/Operator or CNC Machinist.
- Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good knowledge of precision machining techniques and quality standards.
- Experience using handheld inspection equipment such as micrometers, verniers and gauges.
- A proactive attitude with good communication and team-working skills.
- Experience with DMG, YCM or Haas machining centres would be beneficial, although candidates with experience on other CNC milling machines are encouraged to apply.
