This is a varied role offering exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial administration, reporting, and month-end processes, making it ideal for someone looking to develop their career within finance. Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate financial records and update accounting systems and spreadsheets.
- Process daily banking transactions, customer receipts, and supplier payments.
- Manage sales and purchase invoices, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately.
- Monitor customer accounts, carry out credit control activities, and allocate incoming payments.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve account discrepancies.
- Process employee expense claims and petty cash transactions.
- Assist with month-end reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and management accounts preparation.
- Support budget preparation, forecasting, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Respond to finance-related queries from customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Maintain organised financial documentation and support process improvements within the department.
- Previous experience within an accounts, finance, or finance administration role.
- Good understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience using Sage 200 or similar accounting software would be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and numerical ability.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
- AAT qualification or studying towards AAT would be beneficial.
