The Opportunity
WF Tech is recruiting a Production Planning Manager on behalf of a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Aldershot. This is a key onsite role within a high-performing manufacturing environment, supporting complex production schedules and demanding customer requirements. The successful candidate will play a central role in coordinating production planning activities, optimising output, and supporting continuous improvement across the operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and operational targets
- Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure timely availability of materials and components
- Monitor production progress and adjust plans to mitigate risks, delays, or constraints
- Work closely with Quality to ensure all products meet required standards
- Analyse production data and generate reports to support continuous improvement, including SIOP and load & capacity analysis
- Implement, maintain, and improve production planning systems and tools
- Communicate production plans clearly across departments and stakeholders
- Optimise production output in collaboration with Production Planners, Managers, and Coordinators
- Support additional operational activities as required
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
- Proven experience in production planning and scheduling within a manufacturing environment
- Aerospace industry experience highly desirable
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles
- CPIM or similar certification advantageous
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Confident using production planning software and tools
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Highly organised with strong time management skills
Working Hours
- Monday - Thursday: 06:30 - 15:15
- Breaks: 09:30-10:00 and 12:30-13:00
- Friday: 06:00 - 13:00
- Break: 09:30-09:50
- Holiday: 33 days per year, including bank holidays
