About the Role
We are looking for a skilled CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator to join our team in Accrington. This role isn’t just about programming from a computer — we need someone who can also program at the machine, set, and operate CNC milling machines. You'll be working with 3-axis milling machines, primarily using Heidenhain controls, with some exposure to Fanuc as well. Our client is also open to hiring a Setter/Operator and providing training to develop them into a CNC Programmer.
Key Responsibilities
- Programming CNC milling machines at the machine (Heidenhain and Fanuc controls)
- Setting and operating 3-axis milling machines
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
- Working independently and as part of a small team
- Ensuring health & safety standards are followed
What We’re Looking For
- Experience with CNC milling machines (ideally 3-axis)
- Strong knowledge of Heidenhain controls (Fanuc a bonus)
- Ability to program at the machine (preferred)
- Willingness to learn and develop
- Reliable and self-motivated
