We’re looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our friendly Finance team at our Redditch Head Office on a 6-month fixed-term basis to support during a period of parental leave cover. What you’ll be doing:
- Maintaining and reconciling key control accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Producing monthly financial reports for management and external stakeholders
- Managing the fixed asset register including additions, disposals and depreciation
- Carrying out quarterly and annual fixed asset checks
- Processing supplier invoices and employee expense claims
- Maintaining accurate supplier records on the ERP system
- Supporting weekly and monthly payment runs (BACS & Bankline)
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and investigating variances
- Supporting internal and external audit processes
- Working collaboratively with the wider Finance team on day-to-day activities
- Supporting with additional ad hoc finance duties when required
What we’re looking for:
Essential:
- AAT qualified (or currently studying towards)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within an accounts or finance environment
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Experience using ERP systems
- Knowledge of Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
