Position Overview: We’re on the lookout for a Product Development Engineer to join a busy and growing design team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in CAD, a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, and a genuine interest in turning ideas into real-world products.

Daily Duties Will Include:

  • Designing and developing high-quality, precision components using AutoDesk Inventor (or similar CAD software).
  • Producing 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Working closely with production teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
  • Creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Supporting the full product lifecycle – from concept and prototyping through to final production.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Strong proficiency in CAD software – AutoDesk Inventor preferred.
  • Good understanding of metalworking and machining techniques.
  • High attention to detail and solid problem-solving ability.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Desirable:

  • Experience using AutoDesk Vault.
  • Previous work in the door or cabinet hardware sector.
  • Hands-on experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience creating technical specifications and BOMs for production.
