Wolverhampton £28,000 – £30,000 per annum Specialist Subcontractor. Our client, a well-established and highly regarded specialist subcontractor, is looking to appoint a Graduate Trainee Estimator to join their growing commercial team based in Wolverhampton.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated graduate to begin a long-term career in estimating within the construction industry, with full training, mentorship, and clear progression on offer.
The Role
- Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions
- Taking off quantities from drawings and specifications
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing
- Supporting senior estimators with bid preparation and commercial analysis
- Learning to assess project risks, costs, and margins
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
The Ideal Candidate
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying (BSc) or a closely related construction discipline
- A genuine interest in estimating and commercial construction roles
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
- Good IT skills (Excel experience advantageous)
