Our client, a well-established and highly regarded specialist subcontractor, is looking to appoint a Graduate Trainee Estimator to join their growing commercial team based in Wolverhampton.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated graduate to begin a long-term career in estimating within the construction industry, with full training, mentorship, and clear progression on offer.

The Role

  • Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions
  • Taking off quantities from drawings and specifications
  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing
  • Supporting senior estimators with bid preparation and commercial analysis
  • Learning to assess project risks, costs, and margins
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation

The Ideal Candidate

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying (BSc) or a closely related construction discipline
  • A genuine interest in estimating and commercial construction roles
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
  • Good IT skills (Excel experience advantageous)
