Tooling Mechanic to join a successful and longstanding aerospace manufacturing company.

Here is what you can expect to be doing:

  • To carry out the servicing, repairs, of mould tools within the toolroom / moulding and production environment.
  • Work alongside existing team in investigating and developing knowledge on all aspects of tool operation and servicing.
  • Provide reports where necessary on tool findings, conforming to standards.
  • Team player with IT communication and negotiation skills.
  • Close liaison with engineering, quality, and production departments where necessary is required.
  • Demonstrated time management and ability to complete activities alongside production.
  • The role requires someone who is self-motivated with a proven history of bringing activities to closure.
  • To be able to use and understand design documentation and procedures for the aerospace market.
  • Having a good grasp of mould tooling theories would be advantageous.

A few things about you:

  • Proven suitable experience within an Engineering role.
  • Experience of machining processes linked to the manufacture of tools.
  • Experience in handling / servicing of tools.
  • Experience of customer interface.

When you are working:

  • 4-day week Monday to Thursday 07:15 am to 5:00 pm totalling 37 hours weekly.
  • Overtime is available from Friday to Sunday at premium rates of pay.

  • Overtime rates after basic hours are 1.5 of your basic hourly rate, and Fridays and Saturdays.
  • Overtime rates for Sundays are 2.0 of your basic hourly rate.
  • Shift Allowances: Nights 33%, Double day 18% and Blended Rota 22%.
