Our client, a well established construction subcontractor, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Project Co-ordinator to join their commercial team based in Birmingham.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the commercial management and coordination of a number of projects from contract award through to final account. The role will involve working closely with clients, subcontractors and internal project teams to ensure effective cost control, contractual compliance and successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing contract documentation including employer requirements, drawings, warranties, bonds and associated contractual information and providing commercial advice where required.
- Monitoring and managing variations and change orders, preparing and submitting monthly valuations and applications for payment, and ensuring the timely agreement of final accounts.
- Monitoring project costs and preparing cost value reconciliation reports in line with company procedures, producing accurate cash flow forecasts and providing ongoing commercial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supporting dispute resolution when required.
- Procurement of subcontract packages including preparing and issuing tender enquiries, negotiating subcontract terms and conditions and administering subcontract agreements.
- Reviewing subcontract applications for payment, verifying invoices and managing the agreement of subcontract final accounts.
- Liaising with clients and their representatives to ensure that the necessary permissions, notifications and documentation are in place prior to works commencing on site.
- Attending relevant project meetings, assisting with the preparation and management of contract programmes and coordinating pre-commencement information including health and safety documentation.
